Plan B is an emergency contraceptive than can be taken after unprotected sex or after a chosen form of birth control has failed to prevent unwanted pregnancy, making it a highly desirable birth control method but also a controversial one. We talked a little bit about what Plan B is and why you may consider taking it in another article but for this one, we’re just going to focus on the potential side effects of these pills so you can make an informed decision as to whether or not this is the right option for you.
What Are the Most Common Plan B Side Effects? (Side Effects of The Morning After Pill)
As with any medication, there are Plan B side effects you should be aware of before you consider taking it. Not every woman will experience these side effects but it is still important to know any potential problems you may encounter after you take your pills. Some of the most common Plan B side effects are:
- Headache
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- A change in your menstrual flow (either heavier or lighter)
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Tenderness in the breasts
Most of the symptoms women encounter after taking Plan B are mild and don’t require any sort of medical attention. They last a fairly short amount of time during which the woman is able to go about her normal day to day activities. Although most women will still get their period on time, some women will in fact find their period is delayed for a few days. It’s important to keep this in mind as, obviously, a late period is one of the most recognized pregnancy symptoms. Because Plan B is not 100% effective though, it is important to make sure you take a pregnancy test if your period is more than a few days late. You may be pregnant and if you are, you’ll want to find out as soon as possible to weigh your options and take action based on your choice.
What Are Some Less Common Plan B Side Effects?
Having already talked about what Plan B side effects you can expect to experience after taking the pills, it’s important to get into some of the less common, more serious Plan B side effects that have been noted. At this point though, I’d like to remind you that these side effects are uncommon and few women who take the pills will experience them. Some less common Plan B side effects include:
- Diarrhea
- Migraine
- Vomiting
- Late periods
- Allergic reaction
- Severe abdominal pain
- Ectopic pregnancy
Clearly all of these side effects are far more severe than the ones we talked about in the section above and while they are more rare, they are possibilities you need to be prepared for. Of all of them, the ectopic pregnancy is clearly the most worrisome. An ectopic pregnancy takes place when a woman’s egg is fertilized by a man’s sperm but instead of the fertilized egg implanting itself in the uterus, it implants itself in another location. Ectopic pregnancies can be life threatening but there are treatments available for ectopic pregnancies and the success rate for those treatments are as high as 94%.
When Should I See My Doctor About Plan B Side Effects?
In the vast majority of cases, woman who experience side effects after taking Plan B will not need to seek medical attention. As I mentioned a few moments ago, most Plan B side effects are mild and can mostly be ignored. There are times when that isn’t true though. If you experience severe cramping in your stomach or pelvic region, you may have an ectopic pregnancy and you will need to make an appointment with your doctor immediately. While these pregnancies can be treated and the success rate of those treatments is significant, the success rate lowers the longer you wait. Don’t gamble with your health. There could be absolutely nothing wrong but it always better to be safe than sorry.
Beyond abdominal cramps and symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy, you also need to see a doctor if you present with symptoms of an allergic reaction. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include:
- Skin rash
- Itchiness
- Swelling
- Labored breathing or wheezing
- Hives
- Trouble swallowing
Allergic reactions can be severe but like with ectopic pregnancies, they can be treated. If you seek help immediately, the chances of making a full recovery are in your favor. The longer you wait, the more severe the reaction could become, sometimes leaving you with permanent damage or possibly even creating a life threatening condition.
Plan B Side Effects: The Statistics
Most women who take Plan B will experience at least one of the more common Plan B side effects. There are women who will experience none and women who will experience all of them. Making an informed decision means knowing what you could potentially be in for. To make the information a little clearer, I’ve decided to include the statistics for many of the more common and some of the uncommon Plan B side effects.
- 23.1% of women who took Plan B experienced minor nausea.
- 17.6% of women who took Plan B experienced minor abdominal pain.
- 16.9% of women who took Plan B experienced fatigue.
- 16.8% of women who took Plan B experienced minor headaches.
- 13.8% of women who took Plan B experienced a heavier than usual menstrual flow.
- 12.5% of women who took Plan B experienced a lighter than usual menstrual flow.
- 11.2% of women who took Plan B experienced dizziness or lightheadedness.
- 10.7% of women who took Plan B experienced tenderness in their breasts.
- 5.6% of women who took Plan B experienced vomiting.
- 5% of women who took Plan B experienced diarrhea.
As of right now, there are no statistics available on the more serious side effects we spoke of a moment ago, but all of those more serious side effects were observed less frequently than any of the side effects listed above. It is important to mention there is now a single dose Plan B option available on the market that works basically the same way as the traditional two dose version but has different statistics as far as side effects go. The statistics for Plan B side effects associated with the newer, single dose version are as follows:
- 30.9% of women who took single dose Plan B experienced a heavier than usual menstrual flow.
- 13.7% of women who took single dose Plan B experienced minor nausea.
- 13.3% of women who took single dose Plan B experienced abdominal pain.
- 13.3% of women who took single dose Plan B experienced fatigue.
- 10.3% of women who took single dose Plan B experienced minor headaches.
- 9.6% of women who took single dose Plan B experienced dizziness or lightheadedness.
- 8.2% of women who took single dose Plan B experienced tenderness in their breasts.
- 4.6% of women who took single dose Plan B experienced a later than usual menstrual cycle.
If you aren’t sure what side effects you may experience or are concerned about how Plan B will work for you, discuss the option with your doctor. Your doctor will be able to offer you the best possible medical advice and will help you decide whether or not Plan B is the best option for you.
Plan B One-Step is an emergency contraception. This kind of birth control prevents pregnancy after having unprotected sex. It is more commonly known as ‘morning after pill.’ However, you don’t have to wait until the morning after sex for taking it. Studies indicate that Plan B is more effective the sooner you take it after a sexual intercourse. The birth control method is a one-dose regimen. Each pill consists of 1.5 milligrams of levonorgestrel that is frequently used in lower doses in various other birth control pills.
How Effective Is Plan B?
If Plan B is taken within 72 hours after an unprotected sex, it reduces the risk of pregnancy by up to 89%. However, if you take Plan B One-Step within 24 hours, it is shown to product positive results up to 95%. Some incidents also reveal that the use of Plan B may still work successfully on the fifth day (depending on your menstrual cycle).
Women must be aware of the fact that Plan B One-Step should not be considered as a regular contraception method to prevent pregnancies. As the name suggests, it should serve as a backup plan in case you have an unplanned sexual contact. It does not protect against STD’s, therefore, the contraceptive method is not ideal for routine use.
How Does Plan B One-Step Work
Plan B One-Step works in any one of these ways, depending on where you are in your cycle:
- It delays or prevents ovulation
- It interferes with the egg fertilization process
- It is also possible that it prevents the implantation of a fertilized egg in the uterus
It should also be noted that Plan B does not work the same way as RU-486, which is an abortion pill and will not result in an abortion or miscarriage. Simply put, the pill is not capable of stopping the developing of a fetus if the fertilized egg has managed to plant itself in the uterus. This implies that the pill has no effect if you are already pregnant.
How to Take Plan B
All women should use Plan B exactly according to the directions that are listed on its label. If it has been prescribed by a doctor, then follow the recommended dosage and do not over use it. In an ideal situation, it should be taken as soon as possible after an unprotected sexual intercourse to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. It should not be used later than 72 hours. The second dose should be taken 12 hours following the first dose.
Contact your doctor immediately if you throw up within 1 hour of swallowing the pill. It is recommended that no further dosages should be administered without discussing with your doctor. In order to make sure that no harmful effects are caused by the pill and no pregnancy has taken place, you can also get yourself examined after three weeks of using Plan B. Note that if your period is a week late or longer than your usual date, a pregnancy may have occurred. You can take a pregnancy test or contact your doctor to know if you have become pregnant.
Once the fertilized egg is attached to the uterus, Plan B will have no effect on preventing the pregnancy, as it is not an abortion pill. Plan B should be stored at room temperature and kept safe from heat and moisture.
What Happens If You Miss A Dose?
The timing of a dose is important as if you miss a dose, the chances of becoming pregnant increases.
What about an Overdose
Overdose symptoms are characterized by extreme nausea and vomiting. Call your doctor immediately if you think you have over-dosed on Plan B.
Does It Protect From STDs?
Since Plan B has no effects on protecting an individual from acquiring a sexually transmitted disease (including AIDS and HIV), it is not considered better than using a condom. The only way to guard yourself again STD’s is to avoid having unprotected sex or without a condom.
Interaction with Other Drugs
If you are on other drugs, make sure you consult your doctor to know whether you can use Plan B. Some of these drugs include:
- Rifampin
- Amobarbital, Butabarbital, Mephobarbital, Secobarbital, Or Phenobarbital
- Seizure Medicines Such As Phenytoin Or Carbamazepine
This list may extend to some other drugs that can interfere negatively with Plan B. Certain Over the counter medicines, supplements, minerals and herbal products can affect how Plan B works inside your body.
Side-Effects of Plan B
Much has been written and tested on the side effects that accompany with the use of Plan B. Thousands of women have successfully benefited from this emergency contraception method without facing any major complications. However, it is always recommended that you consult your doctor about possible harms that the pill can cause in an individual case.
Even though Plan B One-Step is deemed safe for most women, this article aims to shed light on the side effects that it can have.
Potential side effects:
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Abdominal Pain
- Breast Tenderness
- Vomiting
- Menstrual Changes
If anyone vomits after two hours of administering the pill, a doctor should find out if the dosage could be repeated again.
Some women may also experience some unexpected bleeding after taking the pill. This should subside by the time your next period is due. There is a possibility that the contraceptive pill can cause your next period to be lighter or heavier than your previous one. Almost one-third of women may observe that their periods are heavier than usual, after taking Plan B. Moreover, around 10 percent of women may experience discomfort from breast tenderness.
Using this pill can also lead to a fluctuation of dates for your next period. In case a woman does not get her period within three weeks of using the pill, a pregnancy test should be taken to know if she has become pregnant or a healthcare practitioner must be contacted.
Weight Factor
Plan B has shown relatively less effective results for women who exceed the 75 kg weight mark. This implies that if a woman weighs more than this limit (165 pounds) then the pill will not as effective as it is for women who weigh less. If your weight is beyond 80 kg, (176 pounds) then contact your doctor for inquiring whether Plan B will be an effective birth control measure to prevent a pregnancy
More Side-Effects
Hormone-Related Side Effects
As Plan B is itself a hormone, it is only natural that a few of its side effects are related to the hormone system or the endocrine. Women who take Plan B are likely to wait for later than their usual date for their next periods to take place.
Digestive Side Effects
One of the most common side effects of Plan B is nausea. Researches reveal that between 14% – 23% of women experience nausea as an annoying side effect of the pill. There may also be considerable abdominal pain or lower abdominal discomfort. Some women also complain of headaches within the initial days of using Plan B. Moreover, fatigue can make the headaches worse. Dizziness may also be another side effect that is also listed on the official website of the product.
Finally, dizziness is another side effect that is listed on the Plan B website. There are around 10% of women who use the morning-after pill that deal with this issue. If you experience any unusual side effects that are not listed, then contact your doctor immediately to check whether you are having symptoms of another serious medical condition, while using this pill.
Diabetes
Even though a few women have experienced loss of blood glucose control while administering progestin-only pills, it is important that women who have diabetes must monitor their blood glucose level closely after using this pill.
Liver Health
It is not yet confirmed whether the birth control method is safe to use if you have a liver disease. Discuss with your doctor whether you should take this pill in case you have experienced any significant liver health concerns for monitoring the effects of this drug.
Migraine
Several women have complained of severe headaches or even migraine after taking a dose of levonorgestrel. This is a common side effect that surfaces after the use of Plan B.
Breast-feeding
Little amounts of progestin are transported into the breast milk of women who take progestin-only pills. However, there are no adverse effects on the quality of milk or infant development that have been verified due to the use of this medication while breast-feeding.
Fertility
According to a publication, Plan B does not interfere with a woman’s capability to conceive and become pregnant in the future. However, they should not b used as a regular method of birth control and condoms or birth control pills should be adopted for long-term use.
Menstrual Changes
It is also observed that some women experience light spotting after using Plan B, which is sometimes mistaken for a menstrual period. However, this spotting takes place soon after taking Plan B and is not a period. A large percentage of women who use Plan B will get their period at the usual date or may be a bit early. Whereas, a small percentage can have their periods delayed.
Always remember that Plan B is not ideal for regular use and is not a substitute for regular birth control pills. If somebody feels that there is a need for a more frequent use, then a more reliable contraception method should be used.
Pregnancy-like Symptoms
A surprising fact about Plan B is that some of its side effects may actually mimic several pregnancy symptoms. Vomiting, nausea, cramps, sore breasts, abdominal discomfort and headaches are all symptoms that are experienced when women conceive. Since the pill can also cause the next menstruation cycle to occur later than usual, some women eventually feel that they have become pregnant and the pill hasn’t worked.
However, this is not the case. Even though, these side effects lead women to believe that Plan B did not work for them, it usually results in preventing an unwanted pregnancy.
What If You Get Pregnant Despite Taking Plan B
Studies reveal that that there are no pregnancy complications or an increase in birth defects even after you get pregnant after using Plan B.
Warnings and Precautions of Using Plan B
Some more signs can indicate whether Plan has not worked to its fullest. A light period, which is a week or more late, can signal that a pregnancy has taken place. A small percentage of women experience other signs that may be pointing out to a pregnancy. Sore or enlarged breasts, fatigue, nausea, headaches and frequent urination can also indicate a pregnancy.
Like any other birth control method, it is important that you should inform your doctor before using Plan B. This is crucial as you can reduce the risks of an allergic reaction to the pill. Other factors that must be taken into consideration before using it include breast-feeding, the use of other medications and being already pregnant.
This medication should not be given to anyone who is younger than 17 years old. Plan B can be used to prevent a pregnancy if a woman feels there are other issues such as a condom breakage or missing doses of birth control pills.
Effects on Existing Pregnancy
The pill is not designed to terminate a pregnancy that has already been in progress. Therefore, it should not be used in an attempt to cause an abortion or miscarriage. As the hormones in Plan B influence ovulation, the uterine lining and the cervical mucus, it is incapable of causing an abortion.
Other Considerations
A few factors that increase the likelihood of becoming pregnant even after taking the contraceptive pill, is the time a woman takes to use Plan B after an unprotected sexual intercourse. It is also noted that if a woman vomits after taking the pill, she is more likely to become pregnant as the body fails to absorb the medication completely.
Is it common to have your breast leak milk ? When your test says your not pregnant .
I took the pill 5 days ago I haven’t started bleeding yet but my emotions are all f*uck up. I was crying and everything feeling like it was the end of the world. I haven’t been able to eat much at all. And I’ve been really tried. I also have a slight fever. So if I could help anyone before they take this pill, ill say if you’ve ever suffered from depression please beware. Bc this pill REALLy affects your mood.
My question is do anyone know how long it will be before I start to feel normal again???
For everyone worrying about having an irregular or late period, DO NOT FREAK OUT YET! Long story short, I took the Plan-B within 12 hours after having unprotected sex.
My regular monthly cycle was supposed to start 20-21 days from the day I took the pill, however, it started 22 days after…kind of. 22 days later on the 17th of Feb. I had very slight spotting. I did not spot again until the 22nd of Feb. and the 2nd of March. I was very concerned because the bleeding was so light and infrequent. Also, I had no side effects with regard to my period the first time I took Plan-B.
To be sure I took a few HPT’s and they all came out negative.
Thankfully, I FINALLY got my regular period at my expected this month. Basically Plan-B totally threw my cycle off for a month.
Note:
-I’m on Birth Control: Beyaz (although I had not been taking it properly the time I took Plan-B)
-I have regular periods
I had sex with my partner Saturday march 16 and I want to know when is the last day I can take plan b???
You can only take it 72 hours after, I took mine like 65 hours
Bf and I didn’t have s#x, just gave a partial bj and he heard his parents coming so put it away (was through his boxers) he said he wiped his hand off and then fingered me. This happened Sunday, yesterday I started feeling icky so I decided to go out an buy plan b. so far only a minor headache, could I possibly be pregnant from this incident?
Savannah
you can only get pregnant if there is semen inside of your fallopian tubes, once semen is outside of the body it no longer survives, you cannot get pregnant.
I had unprotected s*x last Sunday morning, so I went and took the plan b pill about 65 hours later. I got my period as expected, but it only lasted less than a day, and was very light. Was does this mean? I’ve taken the pill before and my cycle was always normal. I’m sure it’s just a side affect?
So…i had unprotected s*x with my boyfriend, while on my period, very, very intoxicated. I took the plan b pill about 24 hours later, what is the possibility of pregnancy?
Me and my gf had unprotected s*x, not long maybe a few seconds even because i did not think it was right, i was far from an orgasm but i may have pre cu**ed in her. I know this can carry sperm but i had urinated maybe 2 times before this incident and had pre**mmed multiple times. Im not sure if that is enough to get her pregnant because on paper it doesnt seem like it but we are planning on getting the pill for assurance. Is this a good idea? We did this sunday night and hoping to get the pill on wednesday. Please give me your opinion
I took plan b on the 3rd day at the beginning of march, and I have yet to have my period. I’m scared that I may be pregnant, I have taken a test and it came back negative but since I have not had my period yet I’m thinking that the test may be wrong. Can plan b make you skip a period? Or should I go to the doctors and take a test there? Please help
I need some advice. So me and my boyfriend had unprotected s&x and i didnt know this but it was my ovulation day and he finished inside me. I took the plan b pill the day after…do you think the pill will work???
I’m reading all of these comments and I can’t believe what people put themselves through..all of this anxiety and worry about pregnancy and side effects. You are slaves to the lies of this world. Set yourselves free. Don’t have sex until you’re married and ready to have a family. I saw a comment by a “dad” and he was absolutely right about everything he said. Sex is for married people. Sex is for making babies. What are you doing to your bodies trying to prevent what nature intended?
Either you have never been laid or didn’t have a good partner. It’s not a lie when my gf blows my mind over and over. Preach somewhere else
How long does headache’s, dizziness, and lower stomach pains last. its only been a day my lower pains come and go but im so dizzy and stuff I just want to sleep I slept from 10pm-12:15isham.. I hate this feeling.
Me and my girlfriend had s#x on April 13 and the condom ripped but I did not notice nor did my girlfriend and as I was pulling out I e$aculated in her a small amount. We got the Plan B pill within an hour and a half, she has been having cramps and has discharged a thick light red discharge. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I would be very happy to receive any sort of response
My boyfriend and I had s%x about 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately the condom broke on us. I took the plan b pill the very next day. The only side effect I received was breast tenderness. But now, 3 weeks later I’m experiencing very strange abdominal pains. They happen 2 to 3 times a day. Very sharp and very sudden and then it’s over. Also, I haven’t gotten my period yet but I have bled just a little bit here and there. This has gone on for about a week. Is this related? Could I be pregnant?
I don’t want to worry you but if you’re having abdominal pain you should see a doctor asap. That can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. It’s really rare you have one but just to be safe you should be checked because they’re extremely dangerous. That’s what Im most worried about now that I took the pill.
Hi. My boyfriend and i had s*x on this past saturday. We used condoms but in between having s*x we didnt use protecton. We both made that mistake. I had know idea and he was just as upset as me. I took the pill a hour later after the incident. Im terrified of having kids and im in college. My parents will kill me. My only symptoms are nausea and a fishy odor. Does that mean something is wrong with me? Should i get a pregnancy test? Please help.
My boyfriend and I had s#x, then when done we had realized that the condom broke. I went out right away the next morning and got the Plan B pill, I took them how it was directed. It has been almost a week now since I took the pill and I am just now starting to have light spotting. I have also felt sick all through the week, very tired, and some stomach cramping. My boyfriend and I are very worried. I don’t know if its just in my head or not. Has anyone else had any of these same things? Or known of anyone?
Okay.. Can you get the Plan B pill from your local Health Clinic.. .I live in a small town and the only real pharmacy we have is Walmart but Walmart doesn’t sell this pill.. I’m planning to have s#x and whether we use protection or not I want to be able to have a back up.. I’ve already been pregnant once and had a c-section I don’t want to go through that again.. atleast not for a long while…
I’ve read all of these comments. I would suggest that if you’re having unprotected sex that you go on a daily form of birth control as plan b can be damaging to you. If your having sex on a regular basis even with a condom I think birth control pills would benefit. if your too embarrassed to talk about sex and birth control with your parents you shouldn’t be. I would hope that they would give you birth control to protect you. If your guardian does not agree you can have a family member sign for you. Also, you won’t have to stress about the potential of being pregnant if you take a form of birth control correctly. It’s your sex life, so take advantage of it. Getting abortions is also damaging to your body. Unprotected sex can lead to unwanted std’s. I’ve been here, and with birth control I feel a lot less stress worrying about the possibility of being pregnant.
Okay so I had unprotected sex on the night of April 27 and took Next Choice One Dose on April 29, I took a pregnancy test which came out negative on May 5, I took Plan B within a few days of expecting my period, my schedule is:

I took the pill the next day and a couple days later i was bleeding like if it was my piriod but i had had my piriod a week before the was the 7th of last month and now we are in the 9th and i still dont get my piriod. I need help?
Ok I had unprotected s*x with my fiancee. Even though i knew that I was on a day i would not get pregnant due to my calendar days, i was still afraid of getting pregnant so i made him buy the plan b for me the next day. It was his idea of course so i made him buy it lol i am a regular bleeder however my two last periods have been odd. I had the spotting two weeks after the pill then had my normal period another two weeks later. It was super heavy. Now the current period, i seem to be bleeding lighter….but longer. Its been a week. Its like one day i decide to bleed. Then the next day no but small amounts. Can anyone help me out here? Is this a side effect of plan b or is something wrong?

Me and my girlfriend had unprotected s#x on may 17th. We thought the birth control would keep us safe, but later found out she was on a medication that lowered the effectiveness she took plan b one dose within 36 hrs. She had her period on schedule a week later. She then had unusual spotting the next month of june. She was scheduled to get her period this week june 18.She went off trying to get her period a week early and did not get it. After 7 days on plecibo she went back onto birth control. She still has not had her 2nd period to this day june 26. She is now just having stomach aches but noother symptoms. I believe it is from her nervousness and stress.. And also she has been working out very hard and has a lot of pressure on her. I believe this is prolonging her period and sheis still on birth control. So her body is trying to have itsperiod but she is on birth control, will this cause pain? Will plan b cause pain 6 weeks out.. We have token great caution and took 6 different test of pregnancy tests, they were all negative. So that is a kind of relief but we are still unsure. Will someone help us out and make things clear that the pain qill go away and things will go back to normal? Pls help us.. it is now 38 days after sex and all negative results no symptoms just stomach aches… Thankyou
I had unprotected sex Sunday night around 8 . I couldn’t take the plan B pill until about 24 hours later and he came inside of me. Plus I think Iwas ovulating. was waiting 24 hours too late???
My period started on Saturday July 13 and ended around July 18. My boyfriend and I went too far and had unprotected sex on July 22. Now, we only did it for about a minute before I stopped it. The next day I was really stressed because of it because I’m 16. I was finally able to get the Plan b pill on Wednesday the 24 at around noon. (12 pm)I didn’t experience any weird side effects, until today (Friday July 26) my lower abdomen hurts a bit. Is this because of the pill or is it because of other reasons? Did the plan b pill work? I’m so scared and I messed up and I’m scared that I might have to spend the rest of my life paying for one mistake. So is it side effects or is it because of other reasons?
Hi, I know this is very late, but did everything turn out okay??
I took the pill about a week or so ago & I was drinking last night, heavily & now today I noticed a little bit of blood in my pants & I’ve been having pains in my lower stomach like period cramps. I’ve already had my period & I’m just scared.
I’m on the bar (impalon) but had unprotected sec and i was so terrified that i might be pregnant so i went and got the MAP . I took it about a day and a half after the sex and still have lower abdominal pain its nothing seirous its more like peirod pain . But im still freaking out thats i could be pregnant ? Ive read that people have got pregnant on the bar but thats its like a 0.05-1% chance , should i be worried still ?
I took plan B right after our condom broke.. 3 weeks later I found out I was pregnant… Then I found out the baby was in my right tube. I had to get surgery and my right tube and ovary removed… DO NOT TAKE PLAN B…
you were already pregnant before you took the pill.. smh dummy
I’m 22 years old I had sex with my boy friend it has been a week and four days, I had taken the pill after that But before a week I was suppose to have periods but not? I thought that the pill did not worked out Alter I went to clinic and had two pregnancy test. Urinal was negative even blood (test scored 1.20 ) showed the same. I’m having serve fever headache pain in back since periods stops Is these signs of pregnancy ???
On August 17th my fiance and I had unprotected sex. He pulled out just as he was about to release. Neither of us believe he ejaculated in me but to play it safe we took plan B pill about 27hrs later. My period was due that week and i did recieve it on the 19th as it was suppose too. My period was quite heavy day 1 but then spotty for the next 7 days (pd tends to normally last 5 to 7 days) . Freaked out with our wedding in 9mo we took the pill and to reassure ourselves i took pregnancy test on August 30th which came back negative. Now for the last week i been experiencing yeast infection like symptoms with some uncomfortableness in vaginal area along with the thick odorless discharge. I have been having tender breasts the last two days which i get about a week before pd due. Pd is only due in 12 days. What are the chances of being pregnant? Hello everyone, I just have a question!
So my girlfriend and I had Intercourse and the condom broke. She kept constantly saying she was able to get one, and I trusted her to do so. She kept “forgetting” and I had enough, so on the third day, right after intercourse, I bought her the pill and she took it. Ever since she took it though, nothing is happening. Did it work? She said she feels completely normal and fine.
Hi, So I took Plan B Tuesday, and now my discharge is white and thick. It doesn’t have too much of a smell from it that I can get, I know this means I probably have a yeast infection, is it okay for me to use Monistat to treat it after just taking the pill Tuesday?
Hi , it’s been a week since I had last intercourse , basically nothing happened we had condom and all the first time( about 3 weeks ago ) I took the plan b pill and I felt ok , I was panicking little bit but phi socially I felt normal , the second time the condom stayed inside me after he cummed in it so I took the second pill , I felt like throwing up but couldn’t , and felt tired but what worries me the more is the tenderness of my breast and what I discovered today milk-like substance ! Does it mean that I’m pregnant ?! Help !
Have you gotten your period? Maybe you should take a pregnancy test
I have 4 days with diarrhea is that normal?
Okay so my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex. He pulled out before he went.. But i took the plan b pill the next day just in case around 10pm. I woke up this morning with abdominal pain on my lower left side.. And now im worried that its an ectopical pregnancy. Can you have abdominal pain as just a regular side affect.. Without it being an ectopical pregnancy? Im only 16 so i cant tell my parents.. Therefore i cant go to the doctor. What should i do?! Please help!!! Also, has anyone else had abdominal pain for a while and then it go away and everything be fine? I just want to know my chances.. :/
I had unprotected sex on the 5th of Nov, supposedly around the time I was to ovulate, the next day I took a Plan B and had sex that day too…and the following day, and two days after that. Well stupid me thought that the pill would cover those days (was told it would stay in my system…) I am not due for my normal scheduled period until next week, but I’m tired, sickly, and have to pee a lot. I don’t know if I’m pregnant or not…
I’ve taken plan B, it’s been exactly 7 days. I have no period, i feel nauseous and dizzy, & I have somewhat mild cramps…. Just looking for a little direction? Is my period gonna come within this week, or could i be pregnant???
I’ve been reading all of these comments- and just in case you people forgot to read the instructions (it’s beyond me you just pop a pill without reading instructions but w/e) “spotting may occur”. For those girls talking about thick discharge, this pill is a hormone. It probably gave you a yeast infection. One of my friends took this pill and don’t get her period for six months, she wasn’t pregnant, it had just messed up her cycle severely.
Ok I didnt have sex but I did get ate out and the guy was rubbing his thing against my vagina then he nutted on top of my vagina but im not sure it dripped down in my vagina I took the plan b on the third day am I pregnant?
I took plan b after two days of having sex with my boyfriend. I usually get my period on the 20th. I am four days late. What should I do I’m really worried
me and my boyfriend had see on my 9th day of my cycle and hes about to pulled out but it’s too late. 1 hour after we had sex I took plan b. I just wanna know if there’s a chnce im gonna get pregnant
II took plan b Three weeks ago, I had some minor bleeding a week later then it went away now I’m experiencing some minor cramps again is this normal?
Heres a question, last month I took plan b and had my period two days early, this month I am late by two days with no sign of Aunt Flow. Could this be a side effect of pLan B?
I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and the condom broke off but an hour later we bought the pill.I’m really scared and terrified specially cause I haven’t gotten any symptoms I only have gotten abdominal pain is there a chance I can be pregnant I’m scared..?
So my boyfriend and I had sex early December and we used a condom and I took a plan b pill. Later that month I got my period, it was a little late but I got it. In January I also had it but it was a lot more late. In February I didn’t get my period and this month I haven’t gotten it yet either. Could I be pregnant?
